Biography - Ted Sanborn, Principal
Sanborn is a financial technology and e-commerce expert skilled in Product Management, Project Management, Marketing and Sales in entrepreneurial and established company environments. He has over 20 years of experience in financial markets, resulting in extensive knowledge of transaction, analytic, and information services, particularly in Fixed Income, OTC Derivatives, and Foreign Exchange (FX).
Prior to founding Sanborn Consulting in March 2003, Sanborn was VP of Product Management at Currenex Inc, the first-mover in electronic trading of FX between banks and their clients. At Currenex, he drove strategy and design for the first 3 years of that company, during which the company won numerous awards, including the "Best Online FX Trading System - Best Independent," awarded by Global Finance from 2001-2003. In January 2007, State Street Corporation acquired Currenex for US$564 million.
Other experiences include nine years at Reuters PLC, where he was Director of Product Management in the the Information Products Division, and six years with Freddie Mac, a leading issuer in the US mortgage-backed securities market, where he served in various capacities.
Mr. Sanborn has a MBA and Bachelor of Science in Finance from Virginia Tech.
